Do Janne Vermeulen architect-director and founding partner of Team V Architecture in Amsterdam, one of the fastest growing architecture offices in The Netherlands. She is responsible for the design of one of the highest timber hybrid constructions in the world, the 73 meter high residential building HAUT in Amsterdam, which is being built at the moment. She was also responsible for the recently completed renovation of the Atlas – main university building of the University of Technology Eindhoven. This project has just won four awards and is acclaimed to be the most sustainable renovated building in the world, with a BREEAM Outstanding score of 96,01%. Team V strives to demolish as little as possible in all of the projects, and to transform and reuse as much as possible. This gives Team V a clear vision of how to look at building in a sustainable way, which is in the basis of all their works. Besides her work as an architect Do Janne joined the jury of several architecture awards, including the Dutch Building of the Year award, the Dutch Concrete Prize, the BNA Next Step Program and the local jury of the RIBA International Prize. She taught at the Bartlett School of Architecture and was Architect in Residence at the Architecture Center of Amsterdam. From January 2019 she is a member of the Committee for Spatial Quality in Amsterdam.
