Andrea Lee is certified as a Specialist in Construction Law by the Law Society of Ontario. Andrea represents owners, general contractors and design professionals in cases involving liens, trusts, bonds, delay claims and professional negligence. Andrea acts as counsel on arbitrations, conducted under institutional rules and ad hoc. Andrea encourages early resolution of disputes where possible; mediation is a key element of her practice. Andrea reviews and advises clients with respect to construction contracts and design agreements. She lectures and speaks on construction law at the University of Toronto, Advocates’ Society, Ontario Bar Association and Ontario Association of Architects programs. She is a course instructor of Osgoode LLM’s Construction Law Course and co-founded the Construction Law course at Queen’s University. Andrea writes on construction law topics, including contributions to the Halsbury's Laws of Canada (Construction), Review of Construction Law: Recent Developments, Construction Law Letter, and Glaholt LLP’s Newsletter. She currently serves on the Executive of the OBA, Construction and Infrastructure Section, and chairs the Legal Committee of CanBIM.
