Carina Reider

Carina Reider is the Project Manager for Ontario Dispute Adjudication for Construction Contracts (“ODACC”), the Authorized Nominating Authority under the Construction Act. She oversees all aspects of ODACC’s duties including the administration of adjudications, the adjudicator certification process, the Adjudicator Registry, and the development of ODACC’s Custom System. Carina earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences, Honors in Health Policy from York University and then graduated with a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School. Carina is a member of the Ontario Bar. Prior to joining ODACC, Carina worked as a sole practitioner and an e-discovery lawyer. She acted on multiple construction litigation matters dealing with delay claims, scope changes, collection matters and warranty claims. Carina completed her articles with the regulator of the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act where she litigated construction matters at Small Claims Court, the Builder Arbitration Forum and the License Appeal Tribunal. She also worked on licensing matters and conducted research on civil procedure, privacy, real estate, administrative and construction law. During law school, Carina worked at ADR Chambers and authored case management protocols to assist with the administration of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario project. She was also involved in ADR Chambers’ certification process to become an Ombuds service provider. Carina is bilingual in English and Spanish and has advanced knowledge of French.
